Happy Holidays
A friendly reminder that the library will be closed December 24 – December 26 for Christmas and December 31-January 1 for New Year’s.
Have a wonderful holiday!
November (already)
Well if you think September and October flew by…
November should be a real treat – the beginning of the holiday season!
Just an FYI: The library will be closed on Election Day, November 8, 2016.
(This holiday was not listed in our original holiday schedule.)
Sorry for the inconvenience.
This month Sally continues stitchin’ on the first and third Thursdays of the month – again two sessions, afternoon (1 – 2:30 pm) and evening (6:30 – 8 pm).
And beginning November 9th.

October happenings
There’s a lot happening at the library and in town this month – Check out the October Events Calendar!
Stitchin’ with Sally was such a success we’re having afternoon and evening sessions (10/6 & 10/20)!
Vincent Fire Company and Miss Marsha will be giving a special Fire Prevention Week presentation to the Wednesday story hour group (10/12)!
The Vincentown Garden Club is reviving a tradition: The Vincentown Antiques Show
*Be sure to check the Children’s Events link for changes to the story hour schedule*
Art Exhibit and Sale
The show, highlighting local scenes by local artists, is hung throughout the library thus taking advantage of the beautiful architecture of the historic building located in the quaint village of Vincentown.

This year more than 25 artists will be showing and selling their works in oils, watercolor, acrylics and other media.
The public is invited to browse and purchase then join us for light refreshment. A portion of the proceeds benefit the library.
Watercolor Chaos!
Yikes! Sixteen kids today for watercolors!

Most of the children took their works of art home to show off but a few agreed to leave them behind for drying.
Thanks to all the Moms and Grand-moms for helping!
So today we did Mod Podge…

Such Artists!
August Thursdays
We’ve been having fun on Thursdays inside and outside the Children’s Library! So far we’ve made firefly jars, bubble wands (regular and giant) and clay owls.
Next week…We’ll get messy with Mod Podge!

Firefly July
Hundreds of lightning bugs fill the sky during the month of July.
Join us this Thursday to talk about the “firefly” and make a glowing firefly jar!
Be sure to let us know if you’ll be coming!

We have residents in our Garden!
I stopped today at our Butterfly garden and noticed that one of the parsley plants had been totally devoured. We have visitors to our garden – it’s so exciting!
