Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Observed the third Monday in January, celebrating the life and achievements of the Civil Rights leader, as well as a commitment to service

Burlington County residents are encouraged to join thousands of Americans across the country honoring Dr. King’s memory by participating in service projects in their communities. Together, we will remember his legacy of tolerance, peace and equality by making the holiday “a day on, not a day off.”

The Burlington County Library System invites you to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The library, in partnership with the Volunteer Center of Burlington County, will host the 16th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day Challenge on Monday, Jan. 17 from 10 am to 3 pm, at the headquarters location of the Burlington County Library in Westampton.

Wishing you all…

A very Happy Holiday!

Happy Holidays!

A tree is standing in the center of town, waiting. Wreaths have been hung on all the lampposts. Garlands have arrived and ready to adorn the doorways. It looks to me like we “might” be getting ready for Christmas!

This Friday evening Vincentown Village will celebrate the beginning of the holiday season with the Annual Tree lighting. Festivities, including music and a “special” guest, will begin at 6:30 pm.

Our library is getting ready for the holidays and planning programs for the little ones.

We’ll begin to celebrate at Story hour, Wednesday morning at 10:30 am, reading stories and making a simple Christmas tree craft.

Thursday’s group of 4 and 5 year old children will be making a Santa calendar to begin their countdown to Christmas.

As always, masks are required. And, please let us know if you plan to attend! (609-859-3598 or 609-859-9002)
